Subject to track availability and other contingencies, our weekly track workouts take place on Thursdays at 7:00pm at the Millburn High School track. An announcement is usually posted to our GoogleGroup email list.
A typical workout might look something like:
Warmup, 3-4 x 7 minutes at 1/2 marathon pace with 2 minute rests, cool down.
In other words the pace is not absolute, but depends on the individual. Moreover, half-marathon pace might mean the fastest pace at which you could run a half-marathon next weekend, or the pace you aspire to three months from now, or somewhere in between. Also note that this says 3 to 4 repetitions, meaning you should use your judgment. The objective is to get a good workout, and yet walk away feeling as though you could handle at least a bit more.
